The association of people affected by retihinosis pigmentosa is founded in 2017 following the model 0f the two previous associations and thus completing the retihinosis retina Begisare coverage to the whole population of the Autonomous Community of the Basque close and Country.
- We promote the investigation of in retihinosis pigmentosa , by means of the research project that, promoted by Retihinosis Gipuzkoa Begisare is being implemented by the Biodonostia Institute, being ourselves the backbone of this research and having a team of specialists close and reachable.
- We make society aware of our disease, of what it is and what it means to be living with retihinosis pigmentosa and how important research is for us.
- We represent people suffering from retihinosis pigmentosa and other hereditary retinal dystrophies in the Basque Country before institutions and organizations
- We support affected people and their social environment by organising psychological counselling groups, training meetings,lectures with relevant research teams and socio-cultural and sporting activities.
