The AARPCC is a meeting place for people with degenerative visual impairment, as well as for their families and friends.
The association seeks s in regard:
-to raise individual and communal awareness to visual disorders in general, and degenerative retinal disorders specifically.
-to promote and encourage the implementation of medical and scientific research programmes aimed at the prevention and cure of blind causing retinopathies, thus making the work carried out more widely-known.
-to conduct activities aimed at ensuring the protection of people affected by PR and other DHR, helping to improve their life quality and facilitating the management of available social benefits.
-to defend the rights and concerns of people affected by DHR-RP.
-to provide up-to-date information about the disease and the latest scientific, clinical and technical developments.
-to intervene in the area of public authorities so that they increase their awareness of the needs of those affected by this disease, and provide support in the search of effective solutions.
-to stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences, cooperating with other institutions, social groups or associations with similar or complementary aims.
